I spent much of my childhood in Albuquerque, NM. After high school, I enlisted directly into the Navy, where I served as a Navy Corpsman in Special Forces. Following my military service, I chose to pursue a career as a Veterinary Technician. I relocated to Colorado to study at the Bel-Rea Institute of Veterinary Technology.
After completing my education, I returned to Northern California, working in various veterinary practices, including emergency and specialty medicine, until I was able to purchase my first home.
After several years, I returned to school to study Bioengineering and Ecology while continuing to work as a technician. Over time, I experienced burnout in the veterinary field and explored other careers, such as motorcycle mechanics and welding. I was married for 14 years and have two beautiful daughters, whom I continue to support while attending school.
Moving to Murphy led me to find my forever home. My passions include gardening, mushroom hunting, foraging, kayaking, and creating steel sculptures. I was honored to be named North Carolina's Readers' Choice Artist of the Year and have sold artwork across the United States. I also enjoy cooking and experimenting with new recipes.
